- What rights and obligations does it create?
- What happens if its procedures are not complied with?

Time limits and procedure for an appeal
- Establishing that the award was made without jurisdiction
- If there was jurisdiction to make the award, persuading the court that it should be set aside or varied on grounds of limitation, procedural unfairness, or substantive error
- Recovering the costs of the appeal
