Stay extended
The lifting of the possession claim stay, and the introduction of new PD 55C to administer the resumption of hearings in court, has been much heralded. On the last working day before the stay is lifted, it seems it is being imposed again, now until 20 September. The Master of the Rolls’ letter, below, sets out the request that the stay be extended he received from the Lord Chancellor, and the decision by a majority of the Civil procedure Rules Committee to make rules to achieve that outcome. The new rules are awaited.
