Philip Sissons appeared in the Court of Appeal in the above decision, relating to the operation of management provisions of an industrial estate, and, particularly, the liability of the landlord to ensure that the industrial estate was not left in an unsightly condition. The case considers the correct approach to the construction of such obligations, and the extent to which the state and condition of the estate at the date of grant of management covenants is relevant to their true construction.
