From Monday 30 October to Thursday 2 November, Cecily Crampin leading Taylor Briggs appeared pro bono via Advocate in Barnard v Brandon & Others. This was a trial before Mr J Richards in which issues included mortgagee sale to self, the mortgagee duty to sell at the best price reasonably available, the effect of an ineffective transfer by a mortgagee on interest under the mortgage and charging orders, and the construction of previous court orders. Judgment is reserved.
