RICS Dilapidations Conference

Janet Bignell KC will be a speaker at the RICS Dilapidations Conference taking place on the 26th of  March in London. Janet will share the stage with Adam Nash from Savills for the session ‘Top Tips for avoiding litigation'.

This year’s event will focus on updating dilapidations specialists on the latest commercial property market trends, inherent defects and topical issues, as well as key tips on how to advise clients on the best type of lease, from how to limit liability before a lease is entered into or how to reduce any potential claim before the end of a lease term.

Two concurrent breakouts will provide interactive surgery style sessions, where the experts will address specific issues related to either building services or valuation. You can explore technical due diligence and maintenance management in the Building Services session, or you can discuss how important the building surveyor is in the valuation process and examine some dilemmas that are often encountered by diminution valuers.  Delegates will have the opportunity to share their own issues and develop solutions together.

Closing the conference, will be an inspiring session on the art of negotiation – a critical skill for all involved in dilapidations.
