Renée’s background in journalism and online content creation. In her previous role, she produced (and sometimes presented) a podcast called The Crafty Show. She is originally from South Africa. Renée studied English Literature at the University of Cape Town and upon graduation, she started a career as a new media journalist.
She worked at two start-ups as a video journalist. She produced, filmed and edited videos for online audiences. Before moving to the UK in 2017, she worked at the US news agency Associated Press (AP) in Johannesburg as a video journalist. She freelanced for AP in Scotland for a few years while completing a part-time LLB degree through The University of London. Before joining the Falcon Chambers team in November 2022, she was the Head of Content at a start-up, Crafty Counsel, an online community for in-house lawyers.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, visiting bookshops and going on tours of the city of London.
